Canvas Print Consumables

Water-based, odourless, satin varnish specially designed to protect canvas prints produced with water-based pigment ink plotters. It gives the canvas greater scratch resistance and makes it easier to clean with a damp cloth, or even with soap if necessary.

Use short-pile synthetic wool lacquering rollers or a foam roller, also for lacquering (roller handle). Apply the varnish neat, undiluted, in the tray.
Load the roller and remove the excess product from the roller in the same tray to avoid areas where too much product accumulates. Try to apply the varnish in a cross-hatch pattern so that all areas are covered properly.

The varnish will dry in approximately 15 minutes, but the curing that provides strong protection for the image will be complete in approximately 24 hours. Therefore, if you are going to mount the varnished canvas on a stretcher frame, we recommend doing so once it is dry, so that it cures on the frame itself.

A single coat of varnish is enough, but make sure the canvas has an even coverage. If it does not, do not go over it again once the drying process has started; wait for it to dry and apply a second coat.
